Past Works

Past FORUM theatre projects:

"HARD RIGHT - EASY WRONG" -  Drugs and Alcohol (SCADE). A Forum Theatre Project that ran across four inner city High School campuses in Melbourne, Australia. The workshop/performance is an exploration of the desires and struggles for belonging around drug up-take among young people.

 

"TOWING THE LINE" - EACH (RIVENDELL) / CAMHA. A Forum Theatre project explored the specific experiences of people living with or caring for someone with a mental health illness, in response to local community prejudices. The two FORUM narratives were devised by participants. So far the work has been presented to the Healesville community area, with an amazing turn  out. This work will be toured to regional capitals, as well as perform the FORUM event in Melbourne. Participants themselves will be "facilitating" the inter/active theatre dialogue.

"WOMEN AND THE MONEY GO ROUND" - A Forum Theatre project aimed at exploring women and the money system in order to generate social policy initiatives. The performance toured to various community groups. This project was initiated by Good Shepherd Youth and Family Services - Social policy Unit.

HEALTHY COMMUNITIES, CITIZENSHIP AND RIGHTS - Victorian Council Of Social Services conference (workshop).

ENEMY AT THE TABLE - A workshop presented at the Pedagogy and Theatre of the Oppressed conference (2008).

FEMINISM WHOSE MISSING FROM THE PICTURE - A workshop focusing on struggles with inclusion - the size, shape color, ability of Feminism . Brisbane International Feminist Conference.

WILDEST DREAMS - A workshop looking at issues around social justice and inclusion. Supported by The Synod, Uniting Church of Australia's Social Justice Unit. Hosted by Third-Way Theatre, Facilitated by David Diamond from Headlines Theatre, Canada.

QUEER PARENTING - A workshop aimed at exploring Queer Women, who are parenting, and their struggle with community attitudes. This workshop was sponsered by Thornbury Women's Neighbourhood House and The Chalice.

CONSUME, CONSUME, CONSUME - A Forum Theatre project examining the impacts of the mass medias representations of the "body beautiful". The project was Initiated by The Eating Disorder Foundation of Victoria. Co-presented and joked with David Diamond from Headlines Theatre, Canada.

INSIDEOUT - A Forum Theatre Project exploring the community struggle with bi-phobia, transphobia, homophobia. This workshop took place on Vancouver Island Canada and was run by Theatreworks (see links).

BUSTOP - A Forum Theatre Project exploring disengagement, mental health, and notions of healthy communities.
